SARS-COV2 Study
PALFIR Genetics is currently working on a study to answer some questions as to why some people with COVID-19 show fewer or no symptoms as oppose to others. During our first initial research we have found that the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system Could play a role. We are moving forward with phase 2 of our research to screen 100 patients who have developed the COVID-19 disease and to examine the distribution of HLA class I and II alleles in these individuals.
We are currently looking for 100 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are looking to be involved in this study. HLA-class I and II allele typing by PCR-SSOP will be performed on this individuals.
Requirements for being accepted as a candidate for this study will be:
• You have tested positive for the COVID-19 either by a Hospital or by a government contracted lab.
• You are over the age of 18.
• Prior being tested positive for COVID-19, you had no pre existing internal organ injury (Ex. Heart, Liver, Lungs, Kidney....) and/or damage.
There will be no compensation for being part of this study.
